Original linocut printed in black ink on white Rives wove paper.

Bearing the artist’s estate monogram blindstamp in the paper lower right.

A richly printed impression of the definitive state from the edition of 100, numbered in pencil in the lower left corner of the sheet (there were 25 additional impressions numbered in Roman numerals, for an overall edition of 125).  One of seventy-one full page linocut plates (apart from the cover and many designs and illuminations in the text also created in linocut) illustrating the Henry de Montherlant text "Chant de Minos (Les Crétois)."  The impressions were printed from the artist’s original linoleum blocks by Marthe Fequet and Pierre Baudier, Paris, and published by Les hétitiers de l’artiste in the two volume album Pasiphaé/Chant de Minos, Paris, 1981.
