This design, using the face of a young woman from one of his Lefèvre-Utile posters was also called into play as a box-top for tins of vanilla wafers. The added ornamental embellishments are pure Mucha. “One of Mucha’s most personable young ladies, her hair cascading irrepressibly in fine style . . .” Note the initials “LU” in the ornamental border at the four corners.
