A superb impression of the definitive state from the edition of 100, numbered in pencil in the lower left corner of the sheet (there were 25 additional impressions numbered in Roman numerals, for an overall edition of 125).  One of forty-one full-page linocut plates (apart from the cover also created in linocut) illustrating the Henry de Montherlant text “Chant de Minos (Les Crétois).”  The impressions were printed from the artist’s original linoleum blocks by Marthe Fequet and Pierre Baudier, Paris, and published by Les hétitiers de l’artiste in the album Pasiphaé/Chant de Minos, Vol. I, Paris, 1981.
