Rachel Warner

(American, Born 1974)

Biography

Rachel Warner is a nationally recognized American Tonalist artist and a signature member of the American Tonalist Society based in New York. Tonalism, a style that originated in the 19th century with artists such as James McNeil Whistler and George Inness, is highly popular due it’s dreamlike quality. Using a more limited color range, the artist focuses instead on the subtle play of light and shadow – effects that are difficult to capture, but impressive to view.
Warner is a master of the style and was not only classically trained, but she spent extensive time studying art history and painting in Italy and France. As well, she enjoyed a twenty year mentorship with the noted landscape painter, Russell Chatham. Among Warner’s many accolades was the recognition of her talent in the PBS documentary and exhibit, A Timeless Legacy, produced by the Hockaday Museum of Art in Kalispell, Montana.
The paintings of Rachel Warner are included in numerous private and corporate collections, including Intel, Walmart, Capitol Records, Yahoo, Techtron and Jackson Winery.
