A western bluebird (Sialia mexicana) nesting in an Art Deco teacup set on a matching ceramic tray by Boch Frères, designed by Raymond Chevallier (collection of the artist).

The bluebird is a harbinger of happiness. The teacup is the vessel holding harmony, peace, and spiritual enlightenment. The nest represents the love, commitment, and warmth of the home.

Tempus ad Requiem means ‘Time to Rest’ in Latin. It symbolizes the need for a time and a place to rest, to come to terms with life’s hurdles and replenish our energies. It’s important to take the time to enjoy the beauty of the simple things in life.
