A male Eurasian bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula) amid Asian ceramics. The little bird gives a flash of color to the predominantly blue setting. Note the contrast of warm versus cool lighting in this composition.

This vibrant finch symbolizes happiness, appreciation, high energy, optimism, and simplicity. The flight pattern of the finch—never straight from A to B, but more like a joyful dance—reminds us that life is a journey and that we should enjoy all the milestones along the way instead of solely focusing on our end goals.

Tempus ad Requiem means ‘Time to Rest’ in Latin. It symbolizes the need for a time and a place to rest, to come to terms with life’s hurdles and replenish our energies. It’s important to take the time to enjoy the beauty of the simple things in life.
