Pochoir stencil print in colors on wove paper bearing the “ARCHES” block letter watermark, after Matisse’s cut paper collage maquette.

A superb example of the definitive state, from the album edition of 250 (apart from the unfolded edition of 100). One of 20 pochoirs illustrating the artist’s own text titled Jazz, the album published by Efstratios Teriade, Paris, 1947; stencils cut and printed by Edmond Variel.
