This study of Julie Manet, the daughter of Renoir’s great friend the painter Berthe Morisot together with her cousin Paulette Gobillard, is one of the most famous images of Renoir’s graphic oeuvre. Julie was a favorite model for Renoir appearing in a number of paintings and many drawings.
